May 24th – Pentecost Sunday
The Lord gave his disciples the Holy Spirit for a purpose: to empower them and to build up the Kingdom.
He does the same for us, yet we often let these gifts remain static. We are called to actively participate in the Spirit, but how do we do that?
Each of us receives the gifts of the Holy Spirit at Baptism, and they are strengthened and sealed in Confirmation, helping us grow in docility to the Spirit. We are also given specific gifts and charisms for the building up of the Kingdom.
As we continue to operate in the Spirit and receive His fruits, we can use these gifts and charisms to help spread the Gospel and build up the Kingdom. For each person, this may look a little different; ultimately, it is an offering of your unique strengths to bless the Church and the people around you.
If you are new to St. Ann or if you would like to learn how to use your gifts to bless the Church, we invite you to join Mission Tracks! This is a two-week course followed by an advising meeting intended to help people grow in their gifts, enter more fully into the community, and bless the Church in a unique way.
This week, take some time to think about what gifts you may have. How can you use them in service to the Church? Would Mission Tracks be a good jumping point for you?

El Señor dio a sus discípulos el Espíritu Santo con un propósito: capacitarlos y edificar el Reino.
Él hace lo mismo con nosotros, pero a menudo dejamos que estos dones permanezcan inactivos. Estamos llamados a participar activamente en el Espíritu, pero ¿cómo lo hacemos?
