July 6 – 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time

You keep telling yourself you’re not ready. That someone else—more qualified, more spiritual, more “put together”—will do it instead. That “mission” is for the professionals: the priests, the sisters, the Church staff.

But in today’s Gospel, Jesus sends out seventy-two others—ordinary people, without titles or platforms—two by two, into the places He Himself intends to go. They weren’t chosen because they had it all figured out. They were chosen because they were willing to go.

If you’re baptized, you’ve already been called. You’ve already been sent. Jesus isn’t waiting for your résumé to look holier. He’s asking for your yes—right now, as you are.

That coworker who’s struggling, that neighbor who’s lonely, that family member who’s drifting—you may be the only one in their life who carries Christ’s peace to them. You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be willing to walk.

So this week, be still. Receive His peace. And then ask:

Lord, where are You sending me? Then go.

Sigues diciéndote que no estás listo. Que otra persona, más capacitada, más espiritual, más organizada, lo hará en tu lugar. Que la misión es para los profesionales: los sacerdotes, las religiosas, el personal de la Iglesia.

Pero en el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús envía a setenta y dos más, personas comunes sin títulos ni plataformas, de dos en dos, a los lugares a los que Él mismo pensaba ir. No fueron escogidos porque lo tuvieran todo resuelto, sino porque estaban dispuestos a ir.

Si estás bautizado, ya fuiste llamado. Ya fuiste enviado. Jesús no está esperando a que tu currículum se vea más santo. Te está pidiendo tu "sí" aquí y ahora, tal como estás.
Ese compañero de trabajo que está luchando, esa vecina que se siente sola, ese familiar que se está alejando... puede que seas la única persona en su vida que les lleve la paz de Cristo. No tienes que tener todas las respuestas. Solo necesitas estar dispuesta a caminar.

Esta semana, quédate en silencio. Recibe su paz. Luego pregúntale al Señor:

¿A dónde me estás enviando? Y ve.
