March 29 – Palm Sunday

The Scriptures drop us into Jesus’ life in ways that allow us to encounter the Lord more tangibly. Today, we read about Jesus’ journey to the Cross. We walk through the Last Supper, Jesus’ agony in Gethsemane, Judas’s betrayal, and Jesus’ arrest and inevitable death.

We were all there, in a way, when they crucified our Lord, and we are invited to enter into the readings this week as we prepare for Good Friday and Easter.

As you prepare for Jesus’ death and resurrection, allow yourself to be drawn to one of the characters or one of the sections in the story. Sit with the Gospel reading and see if the Lord has anything He wants to say to you this week. Let Him speak over you as you enter more fully into His life, death, and resurrection.

Las Escrituras nos introducen en la vida de Jesús de una manera que nos permite encontrarnos con el Señor de forma más tangible. Hoy leemos sobre el camino de Jesús hacia la Cruz. Recorremos la Última Cena, la agonía de Jesús en Getsemaní, la traición de Judas y el arresto de Jesús, así como su muerte inevitable.

De alguna manera, todos estuvimos allí cuando crucificaron a nuestro Señor, y somos invitados a adentrarnos en las lecturas de esta semana mientras nos preparamos para el Viernes Santo y la Pascua.

Al prepararte para la muerte y resurrección de Jesús, permítete sentirte atraído por uno de los personajes o por una de las partes de la historia. Permanece con la lectura del Evangelio y observa si el Señor tiene algo que quiere decirte esta semana. Permítele hablarte mientras te adentras más plenamente en su vida, muerte y resurrección.
