Peru Mission Trip

June 14-23, 2019

St. Ann Missionaries will travel to Piura, Peru to work with Fr. Joe Uhen and the missionary team from the Parish of Santisimo Sacramento (Most Blessed Sacrament). We will build bamboo houses, deliver food and clothes, work in the schools, visit the elderly and orphans, and run a medical clinic.

This trip not only offers to us a means to serve others but is also an opportunity to see first hand how a large portion of the people live in other parts of the world. Virtually every person who makes this journey comes away feeling they got more from the experience than they gave. It is particularly eye opening to teens and young adults who have grown up in a very different world.

God has blessed us with 52 missionaries for 2019 which puts us at capacity.  Please consider joining us for the 2020 trip June 13-20.  The trip is open to anyone 18 years and older as well as families with children between the ages of 12 and 18.  Our goal for this trip is not only to serve the poor but also to provide an opportunity for spiritual growth for each missionary.

If you cannot join us on a mission trip but would like to support our project we need your prayers.  Prayers for a safe journey.  Prayers for our health.  Prayers for spiritual growth. Prayers that we will open our hearts to where the Holy Spirit is leading us.

Your financial support for our projects is appreciated as well. In addition to providing medications and supplies for the clinic and purchasing building materials for the bamboo houses we are hoping to assist the Family 2 Family program at Santisimo.  There are 1500 families in the program that receive food packages monthly purchased with a $25 donation by a sponsoring family.  All monies donated by F2F sponsors are used to buy food but there are additional expenses involved in operating the program.  Santisimo is struggling…they need more workers and assistance with vehicle maintenance to adequately support this growing program. In addition, there is a tremendous need for a homeless shelter in the city itself.  We at St Ann want to do more and with your help we can.  Please generously support our projects in Peru.
