Pay: $25.00/hour, up to 25 hours per week
Schedule: Friday 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Saturday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Sunday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Primary Purpose:
The Facilities Lead – Weekend is responsible for overseeing and maintaining church buildings, grounds, and equipment during weekend Masses, events, and preschool/parish activities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for facilities needs during weekend hours and provides on-site leadership to any weekend custodial staff, ensuring sacred spaces and facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for the parish community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the lead facilities presence on-site for all weekend Masses and events, ensuring buildings are opened, prepared, and secured on schedule
• Oversee and coordinate the work of any weekend custodial staff, assigning tasks and checking completed work
• Maintain sacred spaces and facilities as clean, safe, and welcoming environments
• Clean educational, social, and work areas as needed throughout the weekend
• Set up and break down for weekend Masses and events, following all safety and fire codes
• Assist with landscaping and parking area upkeep
• Respond promptly to facilities issues that arise during weekend hours and escalate to the Facilities Manager as needed
• Open and close buildings, including securing doors, alarms, and lights at the end of each shift
• Support facility repairs and renovation projects as assigned
• Complete assignments from the Facilities Manager and parish leadership

Qualifications Required:
• Prior experience in custodial, facilities, or maintenance work; supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment without direct supervision on-site
• Ability to effectively lead and coordinate the work of other staff members
• Ability to work effectively with contractors
• Capable of performing routine maintenance and repairs
• Professional interaction with parishioners, ministries, and staff
• Team-oriented with strong reliability and dependability for a fixed weekend schedule

• Sunday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Each shift includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break, for a total of approximately 25 paid hours per week.
Physical Demands:
• Work in a church and preschool environment
• May involve lifting 25–50 pounds, bending, stooping, and climbing
• Occasional computer work (sitting, typing, reading screens)
• On-call emergency availability
• Expected to work Christmas & Easter weekends
