Practicing Good Stewardship
One of the greatest gifts God gives us is the twenty-four hours we get at the start of each day. All too often we squander those minutes on unimportant activities, yet we believe we never have enough time. For that reason, a gift of time is a good place to start as a Christian steward.
- Spend time in prayer - Formal prayer (Mass, rosary) and daily prayer
- Spend time with others - My family, neighbors and those in need
Each of us has at least one talent, gift or ability that we can use to help someone in need somewhere in our family, parish or community. Each of us can make a contribution.
- Acknowledge my God-given abilities and talents
Use my talents to follow the way of Christ, not the way of the world
Share my talents to strengthen the church and help others, including my parish of St. Ann
Manage my financial resources wisely and justly. God did not give us financial blessings to hoard, waste or squander. They have been given to us to share with others.
- Acknowledge that all material possessions are from God
- Discern my spending habits - How I spend my money says what is important to me
- Share my financial blessings with charities and my parish of St. Ann
Accountability is an important part of stewardship. As a parish, St. Ann is accountable to you, our parishioners, for reporting what was accomplished through your generosity.
