St. Kilian Chapel Retabla
 A retabla, or rererdo, is a carved or ornamented screen with religious icons placed behind the altar in a church. Typically the retabla is carved in wood and painted, with niches for the placement of religious statues and saints. Retablas are common in mission style chapels, and was selected to compliment our own mission style chapel here at St. Ann.
The St. Kilian Chapel retabla (right) is made of stained wood with gold leaf mouldings and engraved / carved ornamentation. In the center of the retabla is a crucifixion scene with Christ, his mother Mary, and brother John. Surrounding it are four niches for statues of Saint Peter, Saint Paul, Mary Magdeline, and Saint Stephen. At the top of the retabla completing it is the shield of St. Kilian.
A new altar and ambo are also being created to compliment the retabla, as well as a new monstrance and new chalices.
Installation is scheduled in time for Easter 2003.
Gifting Opportunities -- At this time, all statues and items for the retabla have been gifted. We are extremely grateful to the parishioner families who have blessed us with their generosity.

The company of Talleres de Arte Granda, headquartered in Madrid, Spain, was selected to design, build and install our retabla.
For over one hundred years, Talleres de Arte Granda (TAG) has trained artisans in traditional styles, using contemporary technology to produce quality work. TAG unites traditional artistic values with advanced techniquest, Christian tradition and liturgical norms.
The statues in the chapel, main church, and narthex were also created by Talleres de Arte Granda.
